Events

Events are a tool for hosting an event, giving you a space to plan or discuss prior to the time of the event, a place to share content during the event and a unique way to memorialize the event after it is over. Events can be private (viewable/open to invitees only) or public (discoverable, viewable and followable by other users).

Events are created with a time and date for the event, and a location (either physical or digital). The creator of the even is able to invite others to intend the event, and invitees can RSVP as going or not going to the event. If you RSVP as “going” to an event, the event will be added to your upcoming event list.

Prior to the time of the event, the event acts as a private group space for those attending the event. Users can post to this feed which will be viewable to other attendees.

During the event and for 24 hours after the event, the feed of the event will be for content from the event itself. This is a separate space from all posts made in the lead up to the event, showing only content from the event itself.

After the event (past 24 hours after its ending), the event will be closed for new posts. At this point, the creator of the event can take the content posted during the event (and for 24 hours after) and create a virtual scrapbook. This will be findable, as an attendee, in your “past events” list.

Events

Events are temporary feeds with a given date/time they take place. When you join an event, you are able to post normally in the event feed anytime leading up to the time of the event. During the set time of the event, the event will be open for posts by attendees. After 24 hours from the scheduled end of the event, no one will be able to add new posts to the event; creators of the event, however, are able to create custom collages from the content that was posted in the event.
